RECORŽ Reactor Pak |
|
The Reticulated Electro-Catalytic Oxidation ReductionŽ Pak was designed for utilization with U.S. Military tactical water purification and storage systems. It specifically addresses the U.S. Military's need for a portable, lightweight, high-flow, pre- and post-treatment unit capable of enhancing and extending Military ROWPU (Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit operations through the removal of chlorine from municipal water sources and bladder discharge water. The use of a ROWPU with chlorinated water, without the pretreatment afforded by the RECORŽ REACTOR PAK, will damage the reverse osmosis filter elements because of the oxidizing effect of the chlorine. The RECORŽ REACTOR PAK is a patented dechlorination system that removes the damaging chlorine from municipal water prior to purification with a ROWPU, thus making the ROWPU ALL SOURCE CAPABLE. Further, the RECORŽ can be used in a post-treatment discharge application that reduces the chlorine in effluent water to non-detectable levels. The RECORŽ not only protects water purification equipment from the harmful effects of chlorine; it also eliminates the expense of hauling and disposal of chlorinated water from storage sites. The RECORŽ accomplishes the process of dechlorination through the use of an electrochemical oxidation/reduction/catalytic reaction, which occurs, on a multi-elemental metallic catalyst called Trinity 239 Electro-Catalytic Reactor. In addition to the removal of free chlorine, the RECORŽ removes hydrogen sulfide and iron, prevents bioflim build up and reduces hard mineral scaling. The RECORŽ has been tested using the various flow rates with operating pressures between 40-100 psi. Maximum system pressure is 160 psi. |
