Ariel view of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina breached the levys protecting the city from flooding.

Petrochemicals, a mix of sewage and toxic industrial and organic chemicals pollute flood waters surrounding urban and suburban buildings, inundated with a "toxic soup".

For the same logistic transport or lift requirements necessary to deliver 250 US gallons of bottled water, AID providers can deliver TECWAR® systems that will supply up to 6,000 US gallons (22,500 liters) of potable water every day.

Additionally, TECWAR® systems can be strategically placed by local, state and federal authorities, ready to be deployed and operational within minutes.

Among the greatest disaster planning failures revealed by Hurricane Katrina’s devastation was the lack of immediate (24 to 48hrs) access to safe, clean water by those impacted by the disaster. This could be mitigated by the strategic placement of water purification assets. Airlifting bottled water can be slow and costly when compared to pre-positioned TECWAR® water purification systems that can be deployed by local Fire, Police and EMS personnel.

Water for Disasters/Emergencies

When disaster strikes, water is the #1 priority. Whether it is a natural disaster or man-made, water is needed to support relief operations, sustain life and prevent the spread of disease.

For the same logistic transport or lift requirements necessary to deliver 250 US gallons of water, AID providers can deliver a TECWAR® system that will supply up to 6,000 US gallons (22,500 liters) of potable water every day, even from a contaminated source.

Packed on two 70” L x 48” W pallets, the complete systems can be easily transported by a standard pickup truck and because the systems are modular, each module can be hand carried and placed by two people. Operation requires only 1 person.

Another TECWAR® System; the MMFFS™ 3000 (Multi-Functional Modular Fluid Filtration System) can produce 60,000 USG per day (227,100 LPD) of water from a freshwater source. This water can be used for drinking, cooking or general utility water (cleaning, etc.).

TerraGroup’s TECWAR® Tactical Water Purification Systems can provide safe, potable water and general utility water from any source. They require no external power and can be operational in less than 30 minutes. Complete systems including storage and distribution are available from 5,000 to 60,000 Gallons Per Day (GPD)
